Well, thanks a lot for nothing, you guys. So far, no one has chosen to donate to the “Save Rod” fund. I suppose I really shouldn’t really be surprised, since even the people I used to consider my friends haven’t contributed anything. The only help I have received so far has been from one former co-worker who I got along well with. If everyone was as generous as him, I would be in good shape. But if people who know me aren’t moved to help, why would I expect strangers to? If this blog has provided any entertainment or information, donating would be a nice way of showing appreciation. I may suspend publication, however. I’m just not really into it any more. It is something to keep me busy, though. But I am literally heading toward homelessness, here, and desperate for any assistance I can get. You know, I’m not asking for a lot, but if a bunch of you gave just a bit, it would add up to be a great help. Even if I did manage to find work, not sure if I could do it. I am old, and broken down, and if I do much walking, I hurt for days. Meanwhile, all the joy has gone out of my life. And it seems to have turned me into a whiner.

There’s a theory that John Dillinger’s grave is either empty, or contains someone else’s body, and that the FBI shot and killed someone else in 1934. The grave is to be exhumed soon to check this out.

There’s someone for everyone, I guess, but I’d rather be single. How would you kiss her? Supposing you’d even want to.
I wonder if anyone actually fell for this.
How would you like to live on a planet with three suns? It would likely never get dark, or cool off.
Long ago, there were large crescent-shaped (barchan) dunes that moved across this area, and at some point, there was an eruption. The lava flowed out over the plain and around the dunes, but not over them. The lava solidified, but these dunes still stuck up like islands. However, they were still just dunes, and the wind continued to blow. Eventually, the sand piles that were the dunes migrated away, leaving these “footprints” in the lava plain. These are also called “dune casts” and record the presence of dunes that were surrounded by lava.
Well, that’s some pretty radical driving. Or real lucky.
This person could have used some luck.
