What’s the difference between prayer in church and prayer in a casino? In a casino, you really mean it.

This marks the 100th post of this blog that I have published.

Dammit! 10 wrong answers out of the 30 on this pseudoscience quiz. A few of my blunders were embarrassing.

I have to wonder if merely donating money to one Presidential candidate over the other is enough to influence the outcome. Although I think it really shouldn’t, let’s hope so.

I believe I predicted an incident like this in my previous post. Although this incident was not actually on campus, it was at a University related fraternity house. And, if there are guns involved, it usually isn’t long before someone is shot. Most people with guns just can’t seem to wait to use them.

There is no evidence that Dylan Farrow’s allegations of sexual abuse against Woody Allen are true. But why would she lie? Some people think these memories were suggested by a vengeful Mia Farrow, her mother, and Woody’s ex-wife. If they are true, how did Woody, and all men like him, get away with their crimes? Why do so few people believe the victim? Sorry for being a downer, but I just stumbled across this story, and it made me think…

How drunk and stoned does someone have to be to NOT realize that removing the body from the casket at a funeral is a bad idea?

Today in “what the fuck were you thinking?” news. These are the people responsible for educating children???

This must be one hell of a phone. Does it discharge money, and give the owner multiple orgasms, or why are people so reluctant to give it up? There is a global recall on this device. There are multiple instances of it exploding and/or catching on fire. SO WHY ARE PEOPLE STILL USING IT???

I don’t know if the two were connected, but that mattress company that aired the falling mattresses 9/11 ad has gone under.

And people were complaining about the Windows 10 upgrade. A lot of people complained that it took forever to download, and was difficult to learn to use, but, as far as I am aware, it never made anyone’s computer useless.

I have a suggestion for these prisoners. Don’t commit serious crimes, and you won’t have to worry about harsh prison conditions.

Pup’s first snowfall.

This puppy loses his mind when he realizes he is at the dog park.

That’s pretty damned impressive.tumblr_od5gnldeny1s02vreo1_400tumblr_od5gnldeny1s02vreo2_400

So is that, actually.tumblr_ocmne54j8o1ukldkho1_500

No leash required?

I wonder if this is a good idea. Because, if you have to make an emergency maneuver, you will also have to deal with an excited bird flying around and squawking inside your car.morning_picdump_2008_640_09

I hope this isn’t real, because how stupid does someone have to be to mess up this badly?

How do these people even get (and keep) their jobs?

These photos were posted to show how stressful being the U.S. President is. While I have no doubt that it is stressful, I am also stating that it is not unusual for a middle aged man’s appearance to change a lot in eight years.

I’ll bet they really appreciated this gesture.

Saw this posted in response to Colin Kaepernick refusing to stand during the national anthem. It made perfect sense.

Mike Firesmith’s take on the situation. Usually, I totally agree with Mike’s opinions. Not in this case. While he does have a point, I lean much more toward Colin’s stance. It’s too bad comments were closed on this post. I would really have liked to have uploaded the above picture, and see what people thought of it.

An iPhone case for people who want to be seen in public appearing to hold a slice of bread up to the side of their face.iphone-white-bread-case

I totally support that rule.instagram_badmenu

…but it’s OK if you can’t spell it correctly?

I wonder what the odds are of this happening.funny_picdump_1293_640_high_15

Here’s another optical illusion.

I opened up my photo editor, and flipped the picture for your convenience. YAARGH!tumblr_od7gybg3zt1qjnhqgo1_401

Cassini has sent back some new images of the sand dunes on Saturn’s moon Titan.

Two satellites are going to simulate a solar eclipse in order to study the Sun’s corona

When I first saw these pictures, I immediately thought “sediment”. It turned out, however, that the layered rock was made of sand deposited by wind.

A huge meteorite has been discovered in Argentina.

The Rosetta spacecraft has detected complex organic compounds in the dust particles coming off of Comet
67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, lending weight to the theory that life traveled to our planet from space.

The Western half of Australia and part of the Gemini XI spacecraft as seen from 850 miles (1,370 kilometers) above Earth in 1966. Gemini XI pilot Dick Gordon snapped the picture from the then record breaking altitude. Command pilot Charles “Pete” Conrad was the second astronaut on the mission.

Impressive shot of a Solar flare.

Good Grief! That has to be one of, if not THE stupidest ideas ever thought of putting on an automobile. Riding on the sidewalls can’t be food for your tires, either, Get a clue, and straighten up your wheels, loser.tumblr_o99fwrgohc1u8imavo9_1280

…and what in hell is that on the front of this truck, a snowmobile track? What possible purpose could it serve? Not to mention the wheels/tires that are way to wide to fit under the body.

Next time you feel like complaining about the weather, just ask yourself when was the last time your car blew away.

The man had taken his date, a young blonde woman, to see a famous pianist.  Halfway through, she tapped on his shoulder. “What’s he playing?” she asked. “Chopin’s Polonaise in A-flat,” he responded. “Oh,” she sighed, “I could have sworn it was a piano.”

At the company water cooler, I bragged about my children’s world travels: one son was teaching in Bolivia, another was working in southern Italy, and my daughter was completing a year-long research project in India. One co-worker’s quip, however, stopped me short. “What is it about you,” he asked, “that makes your kids want to get so far away?”

Jake is 5 and learning to read.  He points at a picture in a zoo book and says, “Look Mama! It’s a frickin’ elephant!” Deep breath … “What did you call it?” “It’s a frickin’ elephant, Mama!  It says so on the picture!” and so it does ..
